About me

I’m a much loved daughter and granddaughter, sister of two brothers, half-Manx and half-English, with lots of beautiful friends. I’ve lived in Germany and Russia, worked in lots of different roles, for twelve years a teacher of German, Russian (and if the school was desperate) French and been in senior leadership in schools as well as a self-employed educational consultant. I’ve lived in about 25 different places following the wild Spirit of God, am a priest in the Church of England. I’m known for loud infectious laughter and irrepressible tears and recently came out as a person suffering sadness and loss because of singleness and childlessness. I love to play, walk, talk, sing, cook, and cycle (in good weather)  and eat in communion with others. Mainly I can’t stop starting new things. The latest of these is Pioneering Parishes www.pioneeringparishes.org, a kind of learning community for people wanting to move the energy of the local church outwards in order to reach a wider range of people who might wish to be connected to the reality of the life of God.
